tube is clear plastic when its advertised as silver with a sight window. it is also advertised showing 2 different units of measurment yet it is only in N. NOT GRAMS.would be nice to know what we are buying instead of showing something completly different.BE WARNED WHAT YOUR BUYING

The reason for 3 stars is because the one I got is clear plastic and is only graduated in Newtons. For me it is fine because i'm just using it to compare thread tensions on a sewing machine. It should last a long time with proper care.
