Tried to get a large shade sail tight with a turnbuckle setup -- not very successful.Went to this winch setup - problem solved.And if your sail stretches a bit, no problem - just use the winch and tighten it back up.

Product is mediocre. The ratchets were not high quality and mid tightening one of them snapped. Fortunately the flying shard of metal didn’t hit anyone or anything. We were able to word around it with some extra turnbuckles we had laying around and the other two have been holding up so far. The use of the ratchet is much easier in general than a turnbuckle, just the quality is not the greatest.

Decent quality hardware kit. Like other reviewer mentioned, throw away the screws that come with it right away. Get good ones. I was able to strip the first screw with a screwdriver while trying to screw it into a pre-punched hole. Got good screws, no more problem. Please note, that even though description says super heavy duty, if you have a larger sail (16'x16'x16' or bigger) and plan to hang your sail in a possibly windy location - you definitely want to get 8" hardware kit instead.
