So I bought this and wasn't expecting much, but was very surprised at how well its worked over these past few months. I didn't want the eye sore that is the LED display staring me in the face on my console, so I snuck it under the console behind the stereo and I can hear it just fine, so sound isn't an issue. The way I have it set up and the proper way, as far as I understand it, is to tie the positive into the backup taillight, and so far it works just fine each time and only comes on when, you guessed it, I back up. The different color sensors are much appreciated, so I was able to color match my vehicle. Other than that, great product with a surprisingly low price.

I installed these sensors on my car 10 months ago and they still work.Pros: Easy to install if you are handy, but time consuming. Works as it should, but the detection distance is very, very short - about 1 meter, which makes it good only for parking and not pedestrian or moving vehicle detection like OEM sensors. I got extremely lucky and the champagne gold paint *exactly* matches my color keyed bumper so they look like they came from the factory.Cons: Very, very short detection distance, about 1 meter max. Extremely annoying "Beep" anytime you pass through reverse, which is anytime you shift out of Park (§ read solution below). Distance display can not be flipped upside down for overhead mounting but you still have distance scale and audible warning. Cables were *just* long enough for my mid-size car even after I added an extension wire from my reverse light. If you have a larger car or SUV, make sure the cables are long enough before you rip your car apart. No ability to control volume of beeper which is rather loud., (better too loud than too soft). May need expensive professional instillation if you are not handy around cars.§ The "Beep" when passing through reverse every time was driving me crazy so I added a 12V timer delay that I bought on Amazon and set it to one second. Now when shifting from park to drive or vice versa, there is no more beep, but when shifting into reverse, there is a one second delay (virtually unnoticeable), before the sensor beeps.

So it was OK. The problem was that I was installing it in my extended cab Dodge Ram 1500. The wire cord for the display was too short. I installed the sensors, routed the wires to the junction box, tested the unit and it worked, OK. But once I ran the wire from the display on the dash, through the firewall down through the engine compartment and along the frame to the pickup box it came up six feet too short. There is not access through the cab directly down to the frame or the box and was not about to drill holes to run the wire between the two. If the display wire/cord had been six feet longer it would have been hunky dory. I'm not sure how I'm going to solve this problem.

The value is awesome and install is pretty easy. I only wished the range was a bit further (but it is still good) and the wires were pre-labeled - keep reading if you need install help. I installed these on my 2008 Escape XLT. The blue color was real close to the blue on the car. Spent most of my time planning and comparing heights and widths with other cars similar to mine for drilling holes. Once I had everything marked out, I drilled with the included bit. It was very easy to do. Make sure you also double check behind the bumper that you don’t drill into anything you’re not supposed to. Splicing into the backup light was very easy. If your wires are thick enough, try using a push in wire connector, simple to do. When running the wires from the bumper through the car, make sure you get a wire harness cover to protect them. Take some tape or a label and label the wires for the letters of each sensor. They aren’t labeled and this will save for having to trace them back. Then all you have to do is mount the display on the rear view mirror, run the wires through the trim (most panels should pop out - check YouTube if you need it). Then just secure the wires in the small exposed part by the ceiling. If you don’t have something right away to secure them, you can have them held up with the sun visor.

Display seemed appropriate.Sensors were defective. Device would alert you rapidly, randomly and erratic behavior. Hole saw poor quality, deformed beyond further use during first hole cut. Buzzer tone still gives me headaches, cheep sound that should be banned for use around any living creatures. Wires are too short. No fuse.Dont waste you time or money on this device or another that looks identical. Chances are that it is the same cheap product rebranded.:-)

Estan bien... hacen la función que tienen qué hacer... como varios mencionan, el 'beep' si es un tanto alto, asi que yo escondí el panel y quedó de buen nivel... el único detalle es que, tiene lag como de segundo y medio para empezar a detectar...
