The first one that was sent just didn’t work at all, would not turn on. The second one barely worked, it took so long to pump up our air mattress and then the batteries started leaking while in the air pump.

Summer is here and it's really hot. Makes life tough for testing loads. I've been looking at barrel fans and not finding much interesting. Stumbled on this puppy and it's a hoot. Trip to the target and back and the barrel is actually cool and ready to go. I installed a piece of screen on the intake side. This was my first day out but the batteries appeared unphased. I strongly recommend removing fan prior to shooting.

I thought I'd write an initial review since 3 of 4 of the reviews in 2024 so far are 1 star (negative). As the title indicates, this pump works upon delivery. **OF NOTE: THE FOUR FRESH D BATTERIES ONLY WORKED IN A SPECIFIC ORDER!** This seems counterintuitive but after figuring this out, I confirmed it by trying all 24 variations (permutations) and only a few powered the unit on. As a benefit of this, I also discovered one battery that despite being from the same package, having the same 2029 "freshness" date and working in a flashlight, it was weaker-than-the-rest and would not allow this pump to operate. I will update this review after some use.
