My kitchen floor get messy with all the cooking preparation so I got this small trash can and is so useful, easy to use, you can move it around wherever you want. Very good quality. Easy to clean and is kind of good size. No more mess in my kitchen.

Update to my original review.I received the replacement unit and so far so good. I've used it 10 times so far and it's worked perfectly. I do make sure to cut up whatever I'm putting in so nothing gets stuck under the blades. I also add a little bit of composte starter.I've put meat, veggies, fruits, small bones, coffee grinds, brown filters, unbleached brown paper, leaves, pet food, pasta, cereal, corn, cooked beans and it has effectively processed everything . Time will tell, but so far I think this is a wonderful addition to any kitchen if your looking to reduce waste and produce nutritious fertilizer for your backyard and/or garden. I think even for apartment use, this will reduce waste and grow beautiful plants. Give this Ouaken a try.__________________________Not very happy with this composter right now. Twice we have tried the ferment mode and it has gotten stuck after about 12 hrs. The ferment button starts flashing. According to the instruction manual that means a motor failure.We have not packed the bucket. We put some poultry scraps two biodegradable coffee filters and some lemon peels. The bucket was not even half full. When I checked it everything was already pretty much done and nothing was stuck so Im not sure why it was indicating a failure. I also saw that the blades had scratched up the bottom of the bucket.I gave it 2 stars because I like the design and size but that does me no good if it doesn't work properly. I will be contacting customer service and returning this one for a replacement. I will update my review after giving it another chance.

The best think I liked about this product is the ease of the lid. You can slide down or forward. It has made it so easy to keep my counter clean. I have a baby running around and I can't have stuffs laying on floor and because of this trash can, I can now contain all my trash in it without dropping it on the floor. It is pretty sturdy for its price. Its small and I can throw away the garbage everyday so that my kitchen doesn't smell bad. It can be used in bathroom as well but I bought it for kitchen and its been working fine for me.

I only use it one time so far from the day i received. It worked well, not too noisy. fair enough for me that didn't bother me at all while I was still walking around home with running it.easy to use and clean the basket after use it.Im happy with it☺ï¸

So a bit nervous as I don't know this brand at all. But it has a +1 litre bigger bucket and simple buttons sections on top. I had collected over a weeks worth of soggy scraps as my Lomi died and hoped this would quickly eliminate the build up. It did and its back and forth turning quickly pulverised large root veggies and stalks of broccoli quickly into shreds. Very little smell from it in action. Very quiet too. No word on charcoal replacements or timings but those are easy to find here on Amazon. So far very happy.

We misread the name so now in our home this is known as Mr. Quaken.We compost regularly and were looking for a more efficient method in the winter. The write up for this was more thorough and accurate than others. It makes waste ready as pre-compost. After receiving this we have put it to the test and are very satisfied with the results. Performs exactly as expected and the support email for the warranty etc. Was super quick and personalized in their response.I would recommend this countertop composter and company whole heatedly.
