I have a countertop compost pail, which I love, but I can't keep it in the kitchen unless I regularly change out the charcoal filter in the lid. These filters are easy to customize by cutting to fit any lid as they are pretty big to begin with. The remainder of the filter gets thrown into my regular kitchen trash can and works to cut the smell in there as well!

Good odor control on the compost on the counter. If we accidentally wait too long to take out the compost, the smell isn't noticeable until we open the container. I like how many come at once so I can change them out whenever it gets dirty.

Great price, fit was too big, but no problem cutting them to fit. Make sure to measure before purchasing. No compost odor when you can easily and inexpensively replace with a new clean one. I use 1 in the lid and one in the bottom of the can. Would buy again

I think these were supposed to be refills for something, but couldn't find out what. So, I ordered the wide hook & loop (Velcro) strips. I cleaned the inside tops of the kitchen trash can & the outdoor large trash bin with alcohol & waited for it to dry. The attached a section of the hook part of the "Velcro" to where I cleaned - held it for 30 seconds until it was firmly attached. Next I took one disk and firmly attached it to the hook strip. It has held up over many openings & closings & had no odors since. I would have given it 5 stars if it came with its own method of attachment. Having none cost me another purchase, but it works!
