Key takeaway: The collar unit is super inexpensive and the range is way better than competitor that costs 3x as much. The collar unit has cooler features, too.Pros: This is so much better than the "leading" dog fence system. I had two of the Extreme dog fence systems and the range on it was about 6 foot on either side of the line. Swapped this in when my Extreme collar broke (they all do) and the range on this unit is infinitely further. See the pic. No expensive batteries to swap out every 3 months, it's a rechargeable collar, AFFORDABLE collar units. Extreme dog fence guy charges $200 for a new collar, and they are built to break. This thing worked fine powering my existing line, which is a huge thick wire that runs around 600 ft.Cons: You can only recharge the collar on the control unit itself, you'll also have to charge it regularly. So, hope you're control unit isn't outside like mine is. The included black, plastic dog collar isn't great, you'll be replacing it. The wire is super small and thin. You will likely want to buy a spool of heavier gauge wire and run that in conjunction with this.I'd honestly rate it a 4/5, but I want people to see this review.

Our dog was going out of our yard line, this fence system has helped SO much, we wanted a inground one instead of a wireless so we could make our own boundary zones, we’ve not had a problem with this system so far, our dog has learned her boundary line!

Great dog fence. Exactly what I needed! My dog pees on all my kids outdoor activities so I needed to keep him on only one side of the yard. This does the trick!

Would be great if shock collars could actually keep a charge. We got this system because our dogs kept digging holes underneath our fence and getting out. We set this system up on March 1st 2025, and we're constantly have to charge the collars, they only stay charged for a few hours. I work nights and came home today March 4th 2025 with the dogs out once again and another hole dug out. And another fee from animal control to get them back. This was a waste of time and energy setting up. Not to mention a waste of money. Would send back but not spending anymore time trying to get the wire out to send back. Would highly not recommend, don't waste your money on this product.
