I bought the Riyo Riyo Electric Pencil Sharpener Heavy-Duty Helical Blade Sharpener because I like to draw and using the regular hand pencil sharpeners always broke the lead on the colored pencils and I would constantly have to try to get a perfect point for fine lines - not to mention the cleanup of the pencil shavings are messy. I really like the fact that this pencil sharpener makes a perfect point without breaking the lead , catches the shavings and it also automatically stops when the point is perfect. It is very convenient that this particular model can be run on batteries if you are drawing outside - and can also be plugged up to an electrical outlet when at home. I find the included cleaning brush to be very convenient. One of the best features of this pencil sharpener is that there are 3 different sharpness options sharp, medium and blunt. Great for school children that tend to break the lead on their pencils. I'm glad I made this purchase.

It's powerful and sharpens quickly! Very easy for kids to use and great color! The pencil holder on the sharpener is a nice feature and the ability to use with batteries. I would recommend opening it over a garbage can to empty when full of pencil shavings. The way the compartment is shaped could cause a mess when full, if opened without being careful.

Works great, grandkids love it. With it being a pencil sharpener and pencil holder, it allows them to keep a few that are ready incase one breaks.

I purchased this to sharpen my colored pencils as I do adult coloring. Already the sharpener does not work, I move the pencil around in it , but it does NOT sharpen the pencil!!It tries to run but does not work! Should I return it? I need one that works! Can it be replaced?

I use this pencil sharpener for both regular and colored pencils and usually use it with the batteries so I don't need to be close to an electric outlet. It sharpens pencils to a super-sharp point and it is easy to empty the shavings. I highly recommend this sharpener.

The pencils were so sharp I could make accurate detailed drawings. I had to watch I did not get poked putting my pencil in with the rest of them as they were so beautifully sharp.
