Got this to do photography at my sister in laws wedding to add to my cannon, did a beautiful job. Love this flash and doesn’t make people look like they have just been stunned by a huge ray of light, the light can get hot though as any light can so do not flash while on skin on accident but that should be obvious. Good value and good flash

I have just received this flash unit and it looks to be very solidly made and very powerful. I doubt I will ever need to bring it off of its lowest setting. That being said, I am glad I have some experience with these things as trying to follow the instruction booklet is next to impossible. It is one of those very poorly translated documents that periodically make absolutely not sense. One of the first lines I read (the misspellings are theirs): "In order to save battery power and avoid battery leakag, The defaut setting are as fellowing:" The whole manual reads like this. Otherwise this is a great flash.

I hind thought I could have kept the flash...bought the hotshoe conversion shoe.But alas, I didn't. Bought the CANON EL 5.WELL...THE BATTERY for it...didn't hold a charge after first charge.
