Patented Auto-Monitor Every 5 Seconds
This is the newer model of our original GFCI plug of G1215PM2. This GFCI outlet will automatically conducts a self-test (auto-monitor) every 5 seconds to ensure the GFCI is continually working to protect people from electrocution, which exceeds the UL standards of self-test frequency of 3 hours.
0.025 Seconds to Break the Circuit
When the leakage current in the circuit or load equipment or the ground neutral fault reaches the 4mA~6mA, the GFCI plug can break the circuit automatically within 0.025 Seconds (25ms).
Long Service Life
The GFCI Plug is designed to withstand 20KV, 10KA voltage surge, while UL943 only requires 6KV, 10KA.
This GFCI plug could be used normally in the operating temperature of -31 to 150.8℉ (-35℃ to 66℃).

How to Choose A Portable GFCI Plug from ELEGRP?
2-prong or 3-prong
Check if your power device is with a 2-prong 2 wire or a 3-prong 3 wire plug.
Automatic or Manual Reset Model
Automatic GFCI plug restores automatically restores power connected equipment after an initial plug-in or a power interruption. For applications where automatic restoration of power does not pose a thread or safety risk, automatic reset GFCIs can be used. Such as power pressure washers, pumps on pool spas, cooler and vending machines.
Manual GFCI plug requires the user to press the reset button after initial plug-in or a power interruption. If automatic restoration of power poses a thread or safety risk, manual reset GFCI devices are recommended. Such as dangerous power tools or lawn equipment.
GFCI Plugs or In-line GFCIs
For the GFCI plugs, the plug and GFCI are integrated.
For the In-line GFCIs, the plug is separate from the GFCI, and the plug is small, so it works better with waterproof boxes when it is used outdoor.
How to Install?
Remove the insulation from each circuit conductor approx. 1” (25mm).
Insert hot wire (black) into the hole under the brass-colored screw. Insert neutral wire (white) under the silver-colored screw. Tighten the screws clockwise.
Install the strain-relief clamp over the outer cable exterior to help prevent a pulling force from pulling the wires out from the screws that are supplying the electricity.
Install the rear cover and tighten up the screws to finish installation. There is a rubber seal around it to making this GFCI plug water Resistant.
How to Test?
To test if the GFCI plug works normally for electric leakage, please follow the steps below:
a) Remove the GFCI plug from your electrical device.
b) Plug the GFCI plug itself into a regular outlet and check if the green indicator light is ON.
c) Press the TEST button and check if the green indicator light is OFF.
d) Press the RESET button and check if the green indicator light is ON.
If the GFCI plug passes the test, then the GFCI plug is working to protect you. When the GFCI plug keeps tripping after power is restored, there might be a risk of electric leakage for your electrical device, and the GFCI plug will shut down the power immediately and protect people from possible electric shock hazards.

I needed to put together a temporary solution power a chicken coup water heater during a cold snap. I didn't want to take any chances with with an electrical short so I wanted to make sure I had a GFI inline for the project. It's not a high draw application and all the lighting in the coup is LED to in total the application draws about 100W.. The cheapest extension cord I could find with a GFI in it was WAY more than I wanted to spend. I looked at plug in options and they were still very pricy. I found this unit and it was perfect. I got a 100' extension cord, cut off the plug end and wired this onto the cord. It was simple, 3 wire and came with detailed instructions. Works perfectly!!I like the fact that it has a standard plug on the end, not the oversized right angle GIANT GFI wall wart not a cord pigtail into the gfi. Also the kit included 3 stress relief rubber sleeves for different sized chord as well as an internal cord locking bar that keeps the cord from pulling out of the GFI.Very well made and moisture resistant.Highly recommend. Think I may buy another one for another extension cord.SUPER happy with how things went together.

The light on my hold Dewalt (D24000S) wet tile saw went out, and I figured this was cheaper then a new saw, so I gave it a try. And it WORKED!I like that the package included different stoppers for the different gudges of wire. I used the old one, but like that I have the option to swap it out.Because I used the old gasket I did have to compress the lid onto the unit until I screeded all the bolts in, but that did ensure a water tight seal.

Like the ease of attaching it to the extension cord use for my RV! The plug will fit into the the power box at RV site next to the 30amp plug. This GFI plug replacement will provide protection for camping use.
