This Elite Gourmet 5 cup coffee maker, is perfect , the name says it all. It makes great coffee in such a little pot.. easy to clean and you don't need coffee liners, if you do not want to. I have a problem searching online so a VA helped me,he picked this one for me, right size and I don't waste any coffee. I am a senior and I am very cautious on purchasing. My cupboards are low and it fits great. I love it. If you want a quick cup of coffee in morning I recommend this little coffee maker. Thank you Amazon and my VA assistant.

This is such an amazing little coffee maker! Bought it because we were going to have my in-laws over and they drink coffee every day and night, they’ve used it for the last 2 weeks non-stop, and it’s super easy to use, the brew speed is normal, seems great durability, and everything looks and is good so far. Is even easy to use for an 80 yr old! Especially since it has the auto shut off button! Super recommend it!

Like: programable for delayed brew on a digital clock display. Small size so doesn't take much counter space. Brews quickly. Turns itself off after an hour or two.Cons: the filters suggested for it are a little.too tall so the spray arm pushes filter edge in and if it is a full basket the grounds can go into the pot. I always manually push the spray arm over the basket before closing the lid. This one came with a small changeable filter. But it did not make a difference in the taste for our water. It also had to be manually placed or the water reserve lid would not close properly.The coffee, if used as instructed, is not strong enough for my preference ans there is no strength adjustment. I am going to keep it. It cleans easily and does the job. I just use more coffee or grind it finer.

Huh, mixed reviews. Well, I have NO issues with this brewer. From start to finish, no issues.--Plug in.--I fill the reservoir to the max (5 cups) with cold water--I add 5 TBS of ground coffee to the filter basket.--Make sure drip is over the coffee--Turn on via simple ON/OFF switch--Brews quickly.--POURING? no problem. Never ever a spill or dribble. EVER.--5 cups fills a couple of mugs. I dont let the coffee sit on the burner as there is no warming option (nor expected one on this size coffee maker).--Filter basket is easy to clean. I tap the spent grounds on side of garbage can, then run the filter under faucet to clear out rest. Easy peasy. Could use a paper filter if that seems complicated.--Maybe make another pot if I need it :), or I store it away until next time. I happen to have a Kcup machine, capsule machine, French press, pour over brewers, a large capacity drip brewer, and this 5 cupper. I dont have everything sitting out. I tend to grab for a kcup or for this small brewer. Just works for me.Glad I bought this. I was in the mood for drip brewed coffee, and didnt want to use my 12 cupper. My old 5 cupper was long gone, so I decided to just order this. At sub $20 I thought it a reasonable purchase. Lately I have only been making drip coffee in this, and it has been wonderful. Nice to use up some bags of coffee that I had been ignoring.

The body is made of relatively thin plastic but that does not detract from functionality. The carafe is sturdy although the lid is thin plastic. I have never used a mesh-screen to make coffee, which is what this device uses. The basket screen allows sort of a “dust†of coffee to get through to the brew and I find that unpleasant, so I stuff a #2 paper filter into the coffee basket, and that takes care of that problem and improves the coffee taste (at least in my opinion). So, this is a functional cheap coffee maker but it won’t become a family heirloom.

Less than 30 days of use this Elite Gourmet EHC-5055 coffee maker stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer. A prompt reply indicated I had to provide information & a video of the "problem I am experiencing so the video can be forwarded to the team for review." Included in the email was "please do not hesitate to contact...I am here to help."I responded stating I would gather the info but I would not be able to produce a video. I repeated that the coffee maker was broken & offered to return it to the company directly as proof, since I was unable to provide a video.Relying on the offer of "I am here to help", I was surprised & dismayed at the response that "policy requires a video".I contacted Amazon. Within minutes I was issued a refund for Elite Gourmet's defective coffee maker. I purchased an Amazon Basics coffeemaker, having been issued a refund by Amazon.Other issues I had with the Elite Gourmet coffeemaker is the plastic arm that must be moved from the water well to the filter basket to add water & then returned to its place over the water well to add coffee to the filter basket. In cleaning the coffeepot, the flimsy plastic lid repeatedly came off at the slightest touch while washingThe Amazon Basics lid has not fallen off during cleaning nor does it have the plastic arm that must be moved to fill the water & coffee containers. That Elite Gourmet added the annoying arm to such a defective product does not surprise me.If I could rate 0 star, that would be my rating based on this product and its customer service.

It brews an adequate cup of coffee. The lighted switch doesn’t always indicate when power is on, but jiggling it a little will get it into a position where it will stay lit. Even if the light is out, it continues to brew, so I’ll just make sure to unplug it every time I’m done making coffee. Having a minor defect out of the box doesn’t instill confidence that it will last though.

Not same carafe lid as my old Sunbeam so that became garbage (broke its carafe).Lid too low to trigger Sunbeam to drip.Same carafe though. It still drips unexpectedly when pouring at first.Moral of the story ...If I'd kept the old lid, I'd have a choice of this black machine or my original 7yo white Sunbeam on the countertop.

I like the fact that it has nothing digital on it and a reusable filter basket. A simple small coffee maker with an on off switch. I have it plugged into a smart plug and can tell it to start as soon as I wake up. Makes 2 mugs of coffee.
