Just received my coffee maker todayI cleaned it easyI ran a pot of plain water thru to clean that part easy no leaksThe I made my first pit of coffeeIt was easy to use fill and the taste was great I did use a unbleached paper filter just easier to clean and compostI have used single serve for 22 yrsForgot how much I liked drip coffeeI'm glad I chose this maker .pleased with the first pot hope that it continuesI bought this brand because of the reviews and I can not see paying 300 and up for a coffee makerI will also share I use distilled water have for 30 yrsJust makes the coffee taste better also coffemakers last longerSo for today I'm in a state of bliss

Only had for a short time so my opinion may change after sustained usage. Like how relatively quit it brews compared to other comparable priced models.

Carafe lid removal for cleaning is questionable. Need to be careful to not break the plastic.

I absolutely love this SHARDOR 10-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, Regular & Strong Brew Drip Coffee Machine!I was going through way too many K-Cups so I started looking for the "old -fashioned" drip coffee makers when I came across this one.It has everything you need to make a cup of coffee. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but what you do need it has:Reusable cone filter, makes ten cups of coffee, can change the brew strength even to make it stronger, auto-program so you can wake up to a fresh-brewed cup in the morning, no waiting, clock on the face, automatic shut off after two hours, scooper...I mean what more could you want or need?!!I ran a few cycles of straight water through as they suggested and I will say my first pot still tasted a little like plastic so I ran another pot of water and vinegar, problem solved.Coffee was delicious, piping hot cup of joe ready to go. Warming plate kept my coffee hot for the full two hours without making my coffee stale. I drink coffee all day, everyday so I love that I can make a pot and just keep refilling my cup as needed without going through a ton of K-Cups.I tried the recommended scoop per cup ratio but it was way too strong for my liking so I just adjusted using the included scoop. I use Green Mountain ground coffee, one scoop per 2 cups seems like the perfect blend.Was super easy to clean out the filter and love not having to worry about buying the paper filters anymore.Would recommend this to anyone, perfect for when company comes over too and you need more than one cup of coffee made at a time. At this price point (39.99 at time of posting this), you can't go wrong!
