This is a great choice if you need a bi-color rechargeable and portable light. I have it mounted on my Gorillapod with no issues. I use it to take product photos for sale on ebay and other marketplaces.Some Pluses:+ Feels well built with its single piece aluminum body and solid feeling controls.+ Nice size and feels like a slim rechargeable battery pack.+ I appreciated the camera screw threading on the long side and on the short side so that you can mount in either in portrait or landscape mode.+ The modes are a nice touch which allow you simulate things like bulb flickering, fireplace, tv, candle, and fireworks. Handy if you need a cheap effect for video, but useless for photography+ It remembers your last setting when you turn on the device+ Brightness is quickly controlled by the scroll wheel for quick adjustments; much better than having + and - buttons.+ Plenty bright for my needs+ The power on switch seems well designed as it is not prone to being turned on or off by accident.Some Minuses:- At 1% brightness, I feel that it's too bright for this level. To the eye, 1% feels about 3 times dimmer than 100%, which means it feels closer to 33% than it is to 1%. If you were planning to use this for bed-time reading or as a night light, then this is probably too bright that purpose.- The modes are neat but the documentation does not mention them or how to activate them. There is a dedicated Mode button, but it's not clear how to scroll through the different modes. Since this is a bi-color light, the fireworks mode is not very convincing, as it does not have RGB to be able to produce different fireworks colors.- The front diffuser is not removable as far as i can tell. No telling if this clear diffuser will yellow over time which could affect the color temperature.- Although it has a lovely smooth-feeling surface, i feel it could benefit from having some grip. Some light texturing or grooves would be nice in case you want to hold it in hand to use instead of mounting it.- I wish that it could be used to charge your phone or other USB device.Some things other notes:The manual warns against using the light while charging. I guess it's due to heat which could affect the durability of the battery. However, the light does seem to last long enough for most purposes where you would need to charge it while using it.

I thought I needed a better camera -- what I really needed was a camera light. This one is terrific and it's a good piece of kit. For still photos, a flash is cold and hard, but a wide camera light like this gives you ample light and soft shadows -- skin complexion becomes smooth, not shiny. For video it adds enough light to remove grain from dark shots. This one has brightness and color adjustments. Well made and a good purchase.

Solid feel. metal case. The buttons on/off, recessed to keep from going on in the included small velvet pouch that protects the front bezel. Also came covered with thin factory plastic to keep it scratch free till it got here. I tried adjusting the warmth with +/- buttons, adjusts smoothly. Intensity adjusts also down from 100% I might use on a shoot or lower, the battery probably lasts alot longer. I'm a big fan of video lights and first wanted another brand but always read the negative comments and some other video lights had ratings with words like flimsy or died on arrival, always not good. I at first wanted a removable battery (some use the NF- series like Sony do Li-on that snap) but didn't see any without other rating problems like battery life or problems with the lights. For a while I used the Sony 10w and 20w vid lights hooked up to huge lithium snap-in batteries, the nf-950 I think. LEDs make the same or more light for less juice = less waste heat. This thing is pretty much sleek like a cellphone with only the cool Oled display showing as you change the settings in color. The metal frame has the tripod mount hole and a 2" extender for uses. I would just screw it into monopod (The hakuba mono stand 10 is real ergonomical with the 360 swivel bolt.) Also sometimes someone else holds the lighting while we're doing closeups. Amazing how having enough light brings out the colors of stuff, especially in indoor settings or at dusk. I got two, will have to see how they hold up but I don't expect any problems. Comes with 3 colored plastic diffusers, neutral, blue and another that snap on very easily leaving the side buttons still available. The product manual seems nicely written and in several languages.These seem equal to other makes that sell for alot more. World class stuff. Good job, guys!

This was simple but effective. I used it for some basic industrial product photography. It had a nice bright 9900 K and can go quite bright at full battery. Once battery starts to drop it limits brightness. If you plan to use this for more than say 30 min at a time I'd recommend having an external battery pack as the battery goes very quickly at full brightness. Good value for the price but probably not a good option for a full-time photographer.

The brightness options are great, the white spectrum worked awesomely. Easy to use and allows me to take excellent food pictures. However, for some reason, the On/Off toggle switch stopped working, I can set it to the off position, and it will turn off, even on a flat level surface, the light turns back on after a few minutes. Wish it worked well because I truly enjoyed it and the content which I was able to create.

I bought 3 led panels total. Of those only 1 panel was OK.1 was clearly used upon delivery. And the on/off switch showed issues. It was returned.1 has a battery that turned dodgy within 6 months and goes rapidly flat in off-mode
