Material seems thick enough and pliable enough to not crack. Hopefully it will not get brittle with age?

The sizing on these is a little small. They barely fit my shop vac and are the same size as the connectors for my power tools. It takes some effort but I can get the large end over the shop vac hose. I have to use tape to connect to the tools.Beyond the sizing, which is a problem, the build quality is strong. They are pretty inexpensive and work with modifications.

These do the job but require you use a connecting union. Would be a little better if they were tapered on the large end so to allow it to fit dust ports without using a union.

Sadly these well made adapters did not fit my Dewalt table router, portable table saw, or 12" saw. I returned them.

Advertised as two, but only one was in the package. Product itself is fine.

I ordered these because I have much more 11/4" vacuum hose than I can use. I planned to use the small hose in place of the larger hose where I could. Well, not only did it not fit my craftsman shop vacuum, they also didn't fit my router table connection OR my planer connection. So they are going back. And they're made out of hard plastic that has no give whatsoever. P

I was looking for adapters that allowed me to connect attachments for a smaller hose to a larger hose, but what I received were two identical pieces that only allow me to connect the attachment ends of either hose to the inside of the adapter on the respective sides. I can't connect the adapter to either size attachments, so it is not usable in the way I was hoping to use it. It is a reducer, but if you cannot fit vacuum attachments to the adapter, nor even connect the larger hose end to end with the smaller hose, then I don't know what these adapters can do for you. If you do have a specific use for them, and they are the right size, then they do seem solid and not likely to break with regular or even hard use.
