I have Been wanting a solution to prevent so much dust while sanding. This does the trick. There are plenty of adapters to get the right configuration of your sanding and vacuum products.

tried the adapters to attach to dewalt tools. none of the adapters worked. then i figured out what noone wants to tell you. the DWV9000 adapter will thread down directly onto 1 1/4 hose like this. removed the adapter end and added the dewalt adapter. works perfectly.

It's a longish hose and the attachments mostly fit. The locking mechanism just comes apart basically on its own.

This 1/4 Inch x 15 Feet Dust Collection Hose Kit for Home and Shop Vacuums System with 2 Attachments is a great addition to any shop vac. It works great when trying to clean your dryer duct. I highly recommend this hose for other uses as well. It can be hooked up to many things in your workshop.

There's a really good selection of different sizes and types of vacuum hose adapters, making it easy to connect almost any power tool to the hose. The quick release button on the adaptors is nice, as is the Venturi port so you can fine tune the air flow. The hose fits my Festool dust extractor perfectly.In the photos you can see where I had to tape an adapter to a palm sander because the adapter was just a tiny bit too large to fit into the port, but that is okay by me because the quick release adapter meant I could leave the taped part on the sander. Still a win!
