It showed up with a nice protective case and seems well made. Worked well and I was very happy it came with an extension which was needed to tighten lug nuts. Time will tell how long it holds up but so far very happy.

As I stated in the subject line, I had a nice click torque wrench with a good range (maybe 20-150 ft/lbs) that I loaned to an apparently unreliable friend who never returned it. All I had left was a 1/2†drive needle style torque wrench that maxed out at 50 ft/lbs. not useful for the brake and suspension job I was doing on my 2009 RAV4. This wrench has a range of 10-150 ft/lb (13.6-203.5 Newton meters), with scales for both on either side of the adjustable handle. It did the job tightening bolts from 25 ft/lbs to the lug nuts which are 76 ft/lbs. The handle is long enough to eke out those higher torque settings and you can easily feel the click which is clearly audible. The maybe 4†(I didn't measure it) 1/2†extension is a nice addition as I needed it to reach the brake caliper bolts that the brake line interfered with, and I was also please about the 1/2†to 3/8†socket adapter, which - strangely for a tool guy like me - I seemed not to have! Lastly, the sturdy plastic case with secure latches is going to keep it all in place and easy to find. Oh, did I mention the great price? Oh yeah! Great bargain for a solid tool that will last a lifetime unless I loan it out to some jerk! :)

I know nothing about car maintenance or the tools that are required. But I recently got my tires replaced and was told that I could either come back to the shop for a retorque after 50 miles or I could use my own tools to check the lug nuts on my wheels. So I decided to buy my own equipment and save myself another trip to the shop.This set comes with easy-to-read instructions, a convenient conversion table, and a fairly nice plastic hardcase to store the wrench for safekeeping. But if you're oblivious when it comes to car maintenance (like me), **please be aware that this torque wrench kit does not come with the actual sockets that you'll need to do whatever you're trying to do**. I bought this for a specific job I needed it to replace a seat belt adjuster in my car, two screws that have to be torqued to spec.I have used these at work a lot in the past but retired and need my own. I followed the directions and tested the driver first. I put a 1/2" hex bolt in my vise. I tried a few different settings and it seems to be working as it should and what I am used to using.For the people getting the extension, socket or reducer stuck to the ratchet handle this is fairly common even on some high end ratchet handles. I just lightly clamp the extension in my vise and tap the ratchet handle it will pop of very easily. My old Craftsman ratchet handles have a push button for releasing the socket. One person said they could not adjust it, there is a lock that is explained in the user manual.The case is very nice it holds everything securely and closes tight, the product is heavy duty and seems of very good quality.Great price, good quality and fast delivery what more could you ask for.Thanks!
