I'm a female and new to speed jump roping, but I didn't want a cheap starter rope. Here are some factors as to why I purchased this rope and why you may end up loving it too:1) QUALITY: If you like to invest in workout accessories that are well-made, this is your rope! While I'm new to this, I know good quality when I see it, and this rope is superior in quality even in comparison to ropes I checked out in stores. There aren’t many times when something arrives in the mail and ends up being a higher-quality than you expected - this was one of those rare experiences for me.2) FUNCTION: I love the rope-locking function, it's brilliant. Sure, you need wire cutters to make the rope the correct size for you, but that's no big deal. Everyone should invest in a decent pair of wire cutters for their tool box as it always comes in handy!3) LOOKS (important to me because I’m female, duh): It’s sleek-looking, yet a good weight and very slim. Fits great in any bag, and I know it will look nice and new for a very long time!4) JEALOUSY: Looking to make your husband jealous? Pick one of these up and use it, he’ll be jealous and want one too. The nice thing is, it’s perfectly sized for only me and he’s too tall so he can’t steal it! Sucker :)5) OVERALL HEALTH: On a serious note, I had no idea jumping rope was so good for you as an overall body workout. My first time using this I was dying in no time flat and couldn’t get more than a few jumps in without messing up. In a few days, my coordination improved and I pretty much had it down in no time looking like I at least knew what I was doing. I love all the different variations of jumps you can do, and I’m mixing it up and doing intervals to prolong my attention to it. According to some science study I read somewhere: jumping rope for 10 minutes is the equivalent to running an 8-minute mile. I hope this is true because that's kinda cool.TWO TIPS THAT MAY BE HELPFUL TO YOU (Male or Female):TIP 1 - JUMP ROPE TRAINING VIDEOS: If the link for the free jump rope mastering videos ($15 value) isn’t working, simply send them an email. They were super helpful and kindly explained that they had been experiencing some website issues at one point. They also responded back to me in less than 24 business hours and were able to provide me with the videos easily and quickly!TIP 2 - JUMP ROPE SIZING: I didn’t know where to start in regards to sizing the rope. Videos online were kinda ambiguous and I wanted a little bit more of a guide compared to just standing on the rope and figuring out where the rope should hit from there. Here’s what I found was the most helpful for me:Your Height // Cable Length4’10†- 5’0†// 7’10â€5’1 - 5’2 // 8’0â€5’5†// 8’4â€5’6†// 8’6â€5’7 - 5’8†// 8’8â€5’9†- 5’10†// 8’10â€5’11†- 6’0 // 9’0â€6’1†- 6’2†// 9’2â€6’3†- 6’5†// 9’4â€Of course this is only a guide, so please decide if this is personally right for you or not, but I thought it was pretty spot-on for my height at 5’7â€. I just suggest trying an inch or two longer than what it says so that you can always take a little bit away at a time until you feel it is just right. I ultimately ended up at 8’8†anyway just like it had suggested. One last word: I almost waited too long to purchase this before they sold-out (hopefully they'll restock), but I picked up one of the last one's available in this most recent available batch. When and if they restock, I wouldn't wait or think too long about it. I absolutely love this rope and you may end up loving it too!

I normally don’t leave reviews but this jump rope is great very easy to set up, amazing quality and perfect length for me right out the box, I am 6’5†and I’m going to order another pair before the price goes up or it sells out 10/10 product

I bought the rope in May and have used it consistently (mainly in Crossfit) since that time. My rating would be 4.5/5 if I could do a half star. Very close to a 5 except for a couple things I find less than ideal below, but some might not mind.I love the handles. The size, the no-slip surface - they are great! I have a little above average size hands, so having a little more handle to grip is nice for me. Also getting the cables and to the right length was a cinch. The ball bearing motion is very smooth and effortless.Overall the cable itself is above average. Seems durable and the material works. I do have two minor complaints however. First, I have had a good deal of tangling/twisting upon putting the rope down on the ground, though it has been easy to remediate between sets. Secondly, I just prefer a slightly heavier rope. Really personal preference on that, but I don't see the option to select a heavier cable.

This is the best rope I have found. It is super lightweight, very fast, perfect for double unders. Really good one.I gave it five stars but there is something to be said aboutThe rope itself - a coated thin wire - wears a bit fast. It will start bending a little bit, to the point you will have to replace it, probably every two months or so, depending on your workout routine. It is not elastic and torsion free as a PVC rope. The package comes with two ropes, and of course you can buy spare ones when needed. The handles are great, light and grippy. If you sweat a lot, you may need gloves if you are going for a long session, but for most part a towel will do the job.Adjusting the length is a non brainer, thanks to an ingenious but well thought system, you just slide the rope into a hole in the handle, which you open with finger press, once released it stays firm.Overall, an amazing product, highly recommend.

The Sonic Boom M2 High Speed Rope is yet another product by Epitomie Fitness that I am extremely pleased with, these guys definitely know how to get things right. The product comes in a smart looking box and also includes a draw bag both of which include a nicely designed logo. Inside the box are easy to follow instructions to adjust cable length and a link to free jump rope training videos. The product itself comes with two lightweight ropes one in red and one in black. The ropes are easy fixed into the handles and also removed from them simply by pressing down on the button on top of the handles. The locking system is great and keeps the rope in place. The product overall is easy to hold and very lightweight. The M2 High Speed Jump Rope is a great alternative to running to get in some aerobic conditioning during lockdown. I'm happy with it and highly recommend it.

Great rope, super fast and an much easier to adjust with a really innovative system. Handles feel great and it glides over to make double unders easy...well, at least easier!

I hate running! I still do it because you never know when you might need to outrun a bear or a hoard of zombies but I hate it. Because of this I'm always looking for an alternative cardio exercise and after several mentions in the health magazines and YouTube fitness channels I follow I decided to give skipping a try. If you're reading this then, like me, before you buy anything you probably research the heck out of it and I found these Sonic Boom M2's recommended by several different reviewers so I decided to give them a try and I wasn't disappointed. Right out of the box they felt like a quality item. They are solid, they feel good in your hand, and once you insert the rope into the handle using the quick release mechanism, they turn smoothly. As I mentioned I am new to skipping but even I know that the goal of the professional skipper is the mighty double under and these handles are quick enough to allow even me to achieve one or two at a time. And, when you do mess up, the rope is light enough that you barely feel it hitting your pants. Now I titled this review "You get what you pay for (and more)" and I think the qualities I've already outlined above would justify that statement but that's not even the best part. I think as far as value for money goes the quick release mechanism makes all the difference and here's why. As I showed in the photographs above each handle holds about 6 inches of extra rope inside. Because of this I can set the rope to my partner's height (her being shorter than me) and then when it's my turn I just use the quick release to extend to the right size for me and in a couple seconds I'm ready to skip. So there you go now I've got 2 skipping ropes for the price of one. Great value right, but wait there's more. The set comes with a second rope so if I do the same thing for my kids then just like like that I've got 4 ropes for the price of one and each one of them is the same great quality. I hope that after reading this you'll give the Sonic Boom M2's a try, they didn't make me hate running any less but I certainly look forward to my cardio sessions more.
