This is a fairly expensive product, but I wanted to invest in the best for a good result. I bought the recommended $50 dual tube caulking gun to go with and I was excited to finally fill some crack in my foundation wall. The nozzles are designed to premix the two tubes together before it leaves the tip. My problem was I couldn't get anything to come out. Maybe my $50 gun wasn't strong enough to push it out. Or maybe the product was too cold. So I heated all the tubes up to 80 degrees in the furnace room for a couple days. Still almost impossible to get anything squeezed out of the tip. What did come out was not mixed very well and was so, so slow it would take days to apply. I ended up removing the mixing tip all together and mixing the two products by hand on some cardboard. Then I applied it to the cracks with a putty knife. This took a lot more work and a lot more time then if it would have come out of the tip. Maybe a more powerful caulking gun would squeeze it out...I don't know. The end result was very good as the epoxy set up quickly and cured very solidly. Including the latex gloves was a great idea as you don't want to get the epoxy on your hands, but the gloves deteriorate from the epoxy if you get some on them, which was inevitable when applying it by hand with a putty knife like I had to. I would not buy this product again.

End result seems outstanding, but is almost nullified by not being able to use the dispenser tube. I tried raising the temperature of the tube with a heat gun, and still spent an exorbitant amount of time just getting the material to come out. Sad.

I purchased the recommended caulking gun….. made the appropriate adjustments…… but no luck…. Had to dispense the tube on a mixing tray mix and then load the material via trowel…. Inconvenient …. Yes….. the product is very workable .. does not level at all ….. and maintains a deep dark grey when cured … product could be old…….. did not look for a born on date/ expiration date.

This is by far the best epoxy paste I have found. It is thick enough to stay in place but remains a workable viscosity. I would recommend hand mixing it to make sure everything is fully mixed. This dries a light grey color so that it closely matches the existing concrete. Tough to beat, especially for the price.
