Was skeptical when purchased due to less review. It’s a solid product after all.Like:- metal interior mount- cheaper than well known brand- firm after installingDislike: Installation instruction is not clear. The hard copy came with product is useless. Online video is better but need to pay attention to detail (ie orientation of the clamp). Took sometime to figure out but eventually it’s fine.

I'm surprised at how easy it was to mount these on my XC60 — a near perfect fit for the factory roof rails. The metal cross bars are sturdy and light, and the rubber center channel is a clever design feature that allows you to swap in and out whatever T-channel-style mounts you wish (and I vastly prefer this to Thule's rubber channel strip that must be removed and trimmed). Unfortunately you can't add T-channel attachments without completely disassembling (at least partially) the rack. So while individual parts of the installation are super easy, as a whole it's a little slunky and cumbersome.Also, compared to a Thule or OEM kit, the fit and finish is definitely a little rough around the edges, and the rubber and plastic aren't the highest quality. Some of the hardware stick outs out, so it's just a little unrefined. But it's sturdy. I just wonder how well the materials will hold up after exposure to heat or cold year around.For me, I'll only have this on the car a few times during the summer for my kayak (my bikes for). For that it's perfect. Plus at a third of the cost for OEM, so I can live with it. But if you're someone who's taking the rack off and on over and over again, or someone who plans to leave it on the car year around, rain snow or shine, you might want to invest in something more substantial.

review instructions and ensure orientation is correct. Clips need a lot of persuasion to seat on rail. Overall rack is sturdy and looks great, slight wind noise at speed.

I bought the rack so that I could car top my 13ft laser sailboat. I haven’t don’t that yet though, will give an update when I do. So far I was tweaking and crashing out trying to install this. It’s either the outer grip not clenched in or the inner, or both. Or the rubber part sliding off. So right now fingers crossed that when I do cartop, my boat won’t fly off on the road

For reference, i am 5'5 and 165 lbs- I was able to install this without anyones help. It was THAT easy! I had no issues picking it up over the roof- its not super light weight but it has a good weight to it. I'm a traveling nurse and at times, travel with some of my family....so i use this for our luggages/ extra cargo. Us women love our shoes/ clothes. We tend to overpack but at least we know it's accessible when needed. My favorite feature about this product is that there is NO tools needed! It can't get any easier than this!
