Ernie Ball Folk Nylon acoustic guitar plain strings are made of a solid nylon clear filament. Nylon produces rich pure treble tones with percussive attack. Ernie Ball folk nylon wound strings are made of 80/20 bronze wrapped around a multifilament nylon core. The plain and wound strings both feature ball-ends for convenient string changing. Gauges .028, .032, .040p, .030 .036 .042.

I feel these strings are best for acoustic beginners, as they're softer tension and we tend to press to hard & at first they go out of tune a lot, therefore giving the novice a bit of tuning practice as well.

These are very good strings for a classical guitar, they are easy to install, they sound very good and stay in tune reasonably well. I recently restored a 1949 Gretsch classical guitar and put these strings on it, and it sounds incredible. Most of the tone I credit to the guitar but some of the credit goes to the strings. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is because 30 minutes after I installed the strings, the ball on the end of the 1st string (high E) slid right off the end of the string. Luckily, I had an extra non-ball end string to replace it with. So far the other strings have held on fairly well.

the earthtone line is my go-to choice for all acoustic guitars and basses.easy stretchout, i usually only have to re-tune 2-3 times to settle them right in.they last plenty long, sound great and dont go mushy or corrode if you keep the guitar in it's case.i have never had any string from this line break on me, EVER.i use earthtones on my folk acoustic, my parlour guitar, my classical guitar, and my acoustic bass.the low price doesnt mean they are cheap, they simply deliver what a good string should, quality sound, no hassles and a suitably long operating life.

The strings that WERE on my guitar should don’t ring out like these. Usually new strings stretch and out of tune quite a bit but these are staying in tune after adjusting 3 times.

I needed something temporary to play on until I could get my bread hooks on some real steel. These have a surprisingly tender sound, and are perfect for beginners (not me, my friends son, you're reading the review of a gen-u-wine, ar-teest!) Ended up being more than I thought they'd be.

・・・と言いたいですが、３弦が合わないですね、ナットの溝もテンションも。一番切れやすいのも３弦。ちゃんと整備すれば良いのでしょうが・・・。なので単弦でも販売してもらえると助かるのですがね。

Recently purched a Grestch Jim Dando parlour guitar, but couldn’t find a set of strings that played well. Before dropping my new guitar in the guitar recycling bin, I bought these nylon strings, now all is happily tuneful. A joy to play, innit!
