I got this for my Jura coffee maker. We have very hard water that kills coffee makers at an alarming rate, so descaling is an absolute necessity. With regular descaling, I’ve managed to keep my coffee machine happy for over five years. A record for me.

I used to get a liquid de-scaler for my Breville Barista Express Espresso machine, but I like this product WAY better in tablet form. They last longer, they are much cheaper, and they don't leak in the mail as some people complain about. Not as messy as the liquid overall.

These tablets are just as easy to use and at least as effective as the Jura tablets. My only issue, and this is with almost all of the descaling brands I've used, is that there's no thought given to protecting the user's fingers when dispensing the tablets. It's not going to eat your fingers off or kill you, but it's inconvenient to have to "glove up" to avoid the mild chemical burns you can get from handling the tablets.

Use this to descale my Miele superautomatic espresso machine. These work great. No reservations recommending this instead of the manufacturer one.

We have a complicated and completely awesome espresso machine that our entire family adores. To keep it clean and functioning properly it has to go through a descaling process. I found this intimidating to start but it is actually simple. You drop in the appropriate tabs for your machine into the water container. You push the cleaning button and it does all the work. It takes about 20 minutes and then I rinse everything, wipe and clean the machine, and we’re back in business good as new. These tabs work as well as the two that came with the machine.

These are great. I didn’t even know I needed them, although I’m sure it’s in my Breville manual (admittedly I didn’t read it). I noticed my coffee began coming out a little slower than normal. I looked into it and learned I needed to descale every so often. (I have had this machine for about 2 1/2 years and have never done it before) After descaling, I did a clean cycle with the little tablets that go in the press, then made and threw away 3-5 shots of espresso. I noticed a change in the flow of the coffee pour. Been doing great since.

These tablets work much better than the Miele tablets I got for my coffee maker. Those just sit in the water. I have to bust them into powder first to get any benefit. But these tablets start fizzing immediately and create a very strong vinegar smell, that tells me they're doing what they're meant to do. And they're even less expensive than the miele tablets. After the first use, I observed a much stronger water flow in my coffee machine. Bravo.
