Read only. Not rewritable. You cannot re-program them. Each key fob is already pre-programmed with a unique ID number. The 10-digit number is engraved on the tag casing.

There's no difficulty to using these. The tags just provide a set signal. Nothing more to it. I bought these originally not understanding they were read only, but once I went back and checked that the product was described specifically as read only, I couldn't be upset at my lack of attention. They work. I "feed" one to my flipper once a day to keep the dolphin happy. Aside from that, I'm sure if I got creative I could find more uses for them but that's a rabbit hole for another day

I bought this along with a Handheld ID Copier and this Keys did not work for me. I had a few empty tokens from the last batch that i order and the RFID was duplicated correctly.These tokens do not work. I will try to return it but i live in Dominican Republic and the return (shipping) cost more that the item it self.

These are great for what they are. Yes, there will be a couple duds. Yes, a few will break easily. But, the Paxton fobs are $6/ea. These are like 17¢. I could replace a fob 34 times and still come out ahead.

We use these fobs to control access to our HOA owned clubhouse. The vendor of the security system charges a lot for these so when we needed to acquire more, we started shopping. These work just fine for us. Our original fobs have an external number that matches the number recording in the fob, which is convenient. These fobs have external numbers that have nothing to do with the number recorded electronically - the likely reason for the bargain price. So, we "discover" the internal number by swiping it and then looking at our access system to see what number just tried to gain access. These are so cheap that we are living with this inconvenience.
