This is a very good fly line. As a certified fly casting instructor, I am always asked what kind of fly line should be used. There are great fly lines from well known manufactures and may be worth the $100 to $140 that they cost. This line is very good, period. I was skeptical of it, but I could afford the risk and bought a 6wt line.I first took the line out and did a number of measurements to see if was truly a 6wt and what kind of WF line it was. I then fished with it for 4 days straight. I also tested the line for ability to cast, flexibility (no coiling), durability.I was able to cast the line 75 feet using a 5wt rod with no problem at all. I got a max distance of 85 feet. Accuracy was measured by running it through my standard course of target cones. There was no perceptible difference between it and a $130 line of the same weight. I stuck the line and reel in the freezer for a couple of hours and there was no issue with casting due to memory coiling.I have also been practicing with it daily for a few weeks and it shows no signs of wear. As far as I am concerned this is a very good line and am planning on buying more of them.

I purchased the line in 5 and 7 wt. I usually over wt my rods by 1. There was not 8wt availble for my 7 wt rod, so I got the 7 wt for it. I have a hard time chucking the bigger flies I normally throw with the 7 wt like poppers and streamers. I would say this 7 wt line would perform best on a 5 wt. It casts great with no fly, but it just isn’t up to throwing the bigger flies like one normally would on a 7 wt.As usual with cheaper lines, it doesn’t come on a spool, so getting it on the reel without tangling is a real chore. The line feels and performs like any other line for me other than just not having the weight to it. I would recommend sizing up 1 or 2 sizes where possible, and it should be fine. I intend to put the 5 wt line on my 4 wt. I will likely have to purchase a new line for my 7 wt, but for $10, no real harm done in trying it.

price is really good. this line performs really well. it is easy to lift off of the water and easy to keep in the air to make your next cast. I ordered #5 weight forward, the ends are clearly marked and end loop are well formed.

It's nice and limp , easy to spool on the reel ,and the orange color is very easy to see on the water

Another excellent and unbelievably affordable product from Aventik fly fishing. This ultra slick, lower diameter, weight forward fly line, in the sky blue color, is perfect for those sunny, low water days of summer when the fish are very spooky. This lines hold up with the best of them and repels dirt well. If you haven't given Aventik products a try, and are looking for affordable fly fishing gear, these products will meet all your needs and budget with all of the function of the more expensive brands. An excellent fly line all around. -Chris Laburtis fishinonthebrain

Ended up shelving this and spending 75 bucks on a good line. This threw terrible and rolled out poorly. I'd return it if I wasn't working offshore. Guess I'll cut it up and use it to tie up tomatoes in the spring
