Had a 1-1/2" leather belt that split. I loved the screw-on buckle so much I thought I would buy a comparable leather strap for the buckle. This strap fit the bill; very thick and sturdy, just right for jeans pairing. Cut it down, punched the holes and tapered the end. Worn on four different occasions where I sat in my car for a substantial amount. The belt showed no curving or markings from the back loop pressure. It feels strong and snug on my hips. This strap will hold its shape better than most belts on the market. It's a peeve of mine that my belts don't misshapen, and this strap will stand up in that regard. great product!

I ordered this to use as part of a guitar strap.I have one of these western fifties style, straps that have a lambskin padded shoulder piece and a much narrower strap. I wasn't really happy with the adjustment options, plus I have a problem with any type of metal on a guitar strap, like a buckle. Inevitably this is going to bang against your guitar and leave scratches.Also, how many times do you need to readjust or change the length of a strap? If you have multiple guitars (maybe an acoustic and an electric) maybe, but then it makes more sense to have a strap for each.I get that a bought strap has to be adjustable because clearly people have different requirements about how high or low they want their guitar to hang. But once you have one, how often do you really change it?So a long strip of leather that I could custom fit to my liking and be done with it seemed like a good solution.And for that it works fine, and looks great. It's not a perfect color match, but I am okay with that. The surface starts showing signs of wear and patina already after a short time, so that is nice too, for an item like this.I have a wallet that is made of bison leather that is buttery soft (and beautiful), so I was looking for bison. But this is very different. It is thick and stiff.I know that leather relaxes with use (like wearing in leather shoes), but for now it takes quite a lot of effort to get the strap to fit over the strap buttons. Also, because the leather is so thick, it barely fits over the out-jack on my acoustic.These are not meant as criticisms of the product necessarily, just to describe what you will be getting.It works like I wanted, and looks fine, but if I had had a better expectation of what I was getting I probably would have gone with something a little less heavy duty.For an acoustic guitar it is a bit overkill.Since these kinds of leather strips come in all kinds of lengths and thickness, I think it is definitely worth considering to buy something similar, maybe 2-2.5 inches width and in 2-3 millimeter thickness and make you own guitar strap, as a fun project. And maybe save some money too.

Actually I didn’t like the top film kind of material - I expected a full both sides leather - this one is not that kind I wanted or looking for but it's already been cutting to be able to return it - I expected the Full Solid Leather - no top film material kind!!! Not the right one - felt so bummed out!!! ThkYu for checking...Cynthia
