It fits securely with my Tesla Wall Connector and delivers fast, reliable charging (50A/250V). The locking mechanism and included carrying bag are great bonuses. Sturdy, convenient, and works flawlessly—highly recommend!

I have used this for a couple of trip. In hotels, when they have EV charger, normally they have much more Tesla charging station than J1772 stations. So it is really convenient that I can charge in Tesla level 2 charging station at hotels. Remember, this can not be used in fast charging tesla station. It is compact enough that I can store in my glove box. Super useful and convenient. It did not slow the charging speed at all. The price is really great! Highly recommend.

Nifty little charger adaptor that makes me feel more comfortable that I have more charging options. I like the pouch protector that comes with it so I can store it easily in my car.

The EVDance NACS to J1772 adapter I bought wouldn't lock onto the male end of my portable charger, and I read stories of it getting stuck on. As an emergency adapter for travel purchases, I like the simplicity of this Power Talk adapter. It works, seemed secure and it's a keeper for me.

This Tesla charger to J1772 adapter works great and has a great price! This works perfectly on my 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I installed a 220vac Tesla wall charger for my grandsons Tesla, and then I purchased this adapter to charge my Pacifica Hybrid from the same Tesla wall charger. The first time I plugged it into my Pacifica I got an error message, but after 10 or 15 seconds it began to charge perfectly. The second time I used it I did not get an error code and it began charging immediately. The 220VAC Tesla wall charger charges my Pacifica Hybrid SO much faster than the 110vac charger that came with the car!

This adapter works as advertised. I like that it has no moving parts. Nothing to break.

-- Updated Review 2024-11-18 --After contacting customer support, they offered to send me the newer model of the Tesla/NACS (North American Charging Standard) to J1772 adapter. The folks at Power Talk have been very responsive. In short, the newer model works great with our Volvo XC-40 Recharge. It does not have the overheating problems that the original model had. Additionally, the Tesla/NACS charger fits this adapter much more smoothly.Because of their great customer service I experienced, I am bumping my original 2-star review to a 4-star.The new model is not perfect, and it has the following limitations:1. The new adapter does not allow you to lock the Tesla/NACS handle into place. This means that if you were charging in public, it would be easy for someone to interrupt your charging session.2. There is no release/lock mechanism for the adapter into the J1772 port on your vehicle. At first, I was hesitant to connect it, fearing it might get stuck. Fortunately, it does slide out easily. Again, though, it would be easy for someone to interrupt your charging session.3. The newer model does not feel as well built/put-together as the original model.4. According to Tesla Wall charger stats, each time I near the end of a charging session with this adapter in place it spikes about 2kWh for a brief moment. This is probably okay, so long as it is not for an extended period of time.Overall this newer adapter works and will get the job done. Note that my included picture is of the first generation model.-- Original Review Below of older model --The concept of this is great, especially if you already own a Tesla wall charger. Unfortunately my unit started over heating every time I tried it. Fortunately either our vehicle or the wall charger noticed and slowed the rate to half from 9.6kWh to about 5kWh.I have tried this with two different Tesla (NACS) wall units. One was portable (32 Amp) and the other is a stationary (40 Amp). In both cases about 90 minutes into a charge the adapter is almost too hot to handle, especially where it connects to the Tesla/NACS plug. That said, it looks like a different design is now listed in Amazon than the one I received from PowerTalk. Perhaps the newer design is more stable. The adapter I purchased feels really well made, it came in a really nice case. Perhaps I just received a defective one. Just be aware of the possibility of you purchase one.
