If you have a F-150 with the 3.7 L and it is making a clicking noise check this first. My 2014 F-150 started making a loud clicking noise and sounded like a bad lifter or other internal failure. This is on top of the motor and is hard to pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Just unplug this part while it is running and if the noise stops this is your problem. It really does sound like a failed motor when this part fails.

I went against better judgment to save a few bucks and got this for $17 and didn’t realize Motorcraft was selling theirs for 33% off at $34. When I remove the original canister, and you could feel the quality and heftyness. Comparing both parts, the Chinese part is very light compared to the original Motorcraft and I could also blow air through it, like a whistle which means the seal was not proper, and only made my issue much worse, because the original seal on the original part was only half bad. I got my new Motorcraft part yesterday blew inside it, and could not get any air to pass through which proved that it had a good seal. Don’t waste your money on Chinese garbage just to save a few dollars when it comes to car parts that have any mechanical function on a car, go with factory.

Had an engine light come on. Stopped by local part store for diagnostic. Looked up code and this part was failure. Simple replacement and all running fine. 2015 Mustang GT
