This is a special tool for oil pressure sensor for GM 5.3 engine. Tool worked great, and shipping and arrival was very fast. Would recommend for any diy mechanic.

Size is not correct. Would not fit a 27mm nut.

MY 1969 Corvair has gone through four oil pressure switches. The last time it failed, I replaced it with a used one, but had to sue pliers to put it in. So I bought a new switch to have on hand, and the proper tool from an auto parts store. The used one started leaking oil, but I found the socket I had bought was too long and had too thick walls to fit over the switch, which is located under the alternator pulley. I ordered this one, which arrived two days later, and this one actually fit in the tight confines. I quickly replaced the switch and stopped the leakage. This socket is a 1/4" drive, which is actually better than a larger drive, since it makes it less likely you will overtighten the switch.

So I get the new part, it doesn't fit in the socket. I'm thinking poor quality part. Well I try my craftsman 27mm and it fits perfectly. So the damn socket is the problem. I spent an hour grinding and sanding the socket to make it fit.... peace of crap! Poor quality control. After grinding and sanding it worked... took an hour job and doubled the time because of this poor quality socket!

It doesn't fit a 27mm oil pressure sensor. Waste of time and money.
