I am very familiar with the Excelta brand since I used these same exact tweezers at work to work on SMS electronics so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon. Unfortunately they came a little dirty so I had to clean them up with some alcohol but they came out like new condition.

As a watchmaker tweezers are like a hammer to a carpenter. I can assemble a watch using this tweezers with the same accuracy as my $80.00 watch repair tweezers.

I've started doing more precision soldering and needed to get better precision tools. The cheap tweezers I had were okay but didn't come together perfectly. These weren't cheap, but they've got the goods. The points are very fine (and I didn't even get the smallest) but the tips come together perfectly, every time. The amount of force required to close them is perfect. My old tweezers required a bit more force and by the time the jaws closed it was kind of har to tell I 'had it', and that sometimes led to my dropping the part or squeezing too tight and the tips 'rolling', causing it to twink out of the jaws and go flying off never to be seen again. The foam grips are comfortable too, my old ones were just solid metal.I'd call it a bit of a "luxury tool" for myself personally, but I could see this being a workhorse for the more professional users. I plan to take good care of it so I get many years of service. I dropped one star for the high price, but for many that are considering this, I don't think price will be an issue for them. You can have good tools, or you can have cheap tools, but not both.

Just received these tweezers today, and I must say they are beautifully made. Well-engineered and stainless steel. Fine precision point! I was worried that for the price, they would not be well-made. I’m happy to say, they are perfect!

These will not grasp hair. The tips are not very sharp and do not come together well. I would give a 0 if I could.

Husband used it to reinsert screw in my eyeglasses. They work great for that purpose, since they are non-magnetic and able to pick up tiny washers and screws.
