The material that this recorder sleeve is made of is very nice leather. It comes with a magnetic ring if you don’t have a MagSafe phone. If you do have a MagSafe phone with compatible case it attaches without the magnetic metal ring. NOTE: the Plaud recorder is sold with this case so you do not need to order a case unless you need a magnetic ring to attach.

It came with a black one but I didn’t realize that so I purchased the brown one. I haven’t used the black one at all but love the brown case. Great look!
