I have spinal problems and a damaged sciatic nerve which cause me to have pain throughout the buttocks, hips and upper legs when sitting. I have another seat cushion I've been using that helps, I started looking for a second one only to discover that the company had changed the design and so the new ones won't work for me. Back to the drawing board trying to find a different seat cushion.Yay! I really like this cushion and have been using it at my art desk, I also carry it along to use at church. I actually get more help from this one than my other so I am now ordering a second pillow for the office chair.When I received the pillow the directions stated to wait 48 hours to fully decompress. It did have an odor so I placed it outside for several hours at first until it was getting dark. When I brought it inside the odor was gone and I haven't noticed any odor at all since then. After 24 hours I did a little test sit on it for a couple of minutes and wasn't sure it was going to work, it seemed stiff. I decided I needed to wait that full 48 hours. It actually made a big difference! So do wait!The cushion is soft yet supportive, and thick. I like that it has a carry loop on one side since I do use that feature. One thing I love about this cushion is that there are no weird seams on the cover, no weird carveouts or waves in the cushion. It's just straightforward, flat and thick. The cushion is large! It's wider and longer than any others I've tried and it makes a big difference even though I'm a 140 lb. woman.This cushion works well for me!

Cushion is, supportive, large, has nice carry handle. Makes sitting easier with a leg injury. Well made, arrived quickly!

My search for a cushion for my desk chair found lots of choices, but this one looks like the one!â–º Update - June 12, 2016â–ª This cushion has been improved! They added a nonslip webbing on the bottom so now this cushion will stay put! In addition, it now comes in a gray color.The pros:+ Reasonably priced at $22.95, with free Amazon shipping when I purchased mine.+ Good customer product reviews.+ Comes in 2 flavors, the original black & now in gray, which I like better.+ Extra large 19" x 17" size.+ No odd looking cutout.+ removable cover that can be laundered.The cons:- It takes awhile to "break in"! It will feel hard & too high. See my additional remarks below.- The covering wears from normal use & will eventually wear thru to the cushion. This happens on the front where the legs press down on the cushion.- Price has gone up to $23.99.Additional comments:â–ª This cushion comes tightly rolled up in a plastic bag. There was a slight smell when I removed it from the plastic bag & unrolled it. The smell dissipated quickly.â–ª I have to admit I hated this cushion when I first used it & every time I sat on it! It felt too high & wasn't comfortable to sit on. I read in the reviews that it takes time to "break in" this cushion, so I forced myself to continue using it. Once the cushion conforms to your bottom & compresses down a bit, it is VERY comfortable! :)â–ª I've since purchased 3 more of these. One for my son to use on his gaming chair, one for a chair in our family room & a replacement for one that was showing wear.

Bought this to cover the too firm office chair cushion I had suffered with for longer than I care to admit. After using everything in the house to sit on including pillows and folded comforters of various materials and thickness, I gave up and started shopping. After researching a couple of days, which always includes reading many reviews on various styles and materials I decided this cushion looked like it fit my needs the best.The material is foam/memory foam that has enough thickness to fully support a 200 lb. man. After using it daily for several months and hours at a time it has retained its original shape with only a slightly noticeable glute-shaped impression in the foam. Instead of being too soft that is squishes down to nothing and gives no lasting comfort, it seems just right and must truly be made from furniture quality foam.In order to keep the removable and washable cover in pristine condition a folded towel is placed over it. So far washing it has not been necessary and there is no unpleasant smell from the materials. The size is perfect for the average/standard office chair seat cushion, it covers mine completely. This is a 'true wellness' office chair from Costco by the way.All my issues with the chair were solved by adding this cushion, however it is so comfortable now that I don't get up and move around as often as health professionals recommend. (still working on that :-) I feel kinda lucky that I found something that worked on my first try. That doesn't happen too often.There is no floaty feel like some people have reported from the gel type cushions. For someone like me who has trouble sitting on a variety of chair types for any length of time this has been a great find. My rear and lower back do not get sore from extended sessions of browsing, writing, or gaming and so I must recommend this cushion wholeheartedly. If you get it I hope it helps you just as much. Fabric is great, pillow easily transportable with handle. Fits my recliner perfectly. Very comfortable. Exactly what l was looking for.
