I was very, very disappointed in this kit. The stitch and zip feature is nice, and the zipper works well but the pattern was impossible to follow because not only is the painted pattern completely off, but the count they give you for the pattern simply did not mathematically work. I spent way more time than a person should trying to make sense of it all but in the end, I gave up. The kit comes with instructions that tell you not to follow the painted pattern but to instead follow the instructions -- which was helpful until you actually try and follow the instructions. The paint was so off the pattern that it was distracting and shows through the thread colors. On top of all that, the thread that comes with it is of the very cheapest, most horrible quality and it tangles easily and does not fill the pattern. I imagine these kits were nice at some point and then whoever is in charge of quality control quit paying attention. This plaid kit was terrible, but I also tried the Hearts on Black (purchased at the same time), and while it was not as horrible in terms of the pattern, it was still bad and the thread was the same lousy quality.
