Your cart is empty.E-Z LOK threaded inserts for metal provide an easy to use solution for repairing or reinforcing threaded holes in metal. Ideal for use in metals like aluminum and cast iron, E-Z LOK threaded inserts are screw machined out of solid steel for greater strength and superior pull out resistance. Standard external threads permit the use of standard drills and taps for installation. Once the hole is prepared, E-Z LOKs are threaded into the hole like an ordinary fastener using a screwdriver, bolt and jam nut, or optional E-Z LOK drive tool. E-Z LOKs are self locking and will not back out or vibrate loose. A preapplied adhesive activates upon installation and bonds to virtually all metals. Fastener-ready in minutes, the adhesive seals against liquids and gases to pressures of 6,000 psi. when fully cured (72 hours).

I built a drum sander table and fence for my drill press and used this threaded insert for the star knob and threaded rod that control the fence position. I'm able to make micro adjustments to the fence and sand pieces down to paper thickness.

I bought this product hoping, that I could use it as a 5/8-11 male to 1/2"-13 female thread adapter as an insert, which wasn't what it was intended for.The 1/2"-13 thread is correct and works without a problem. The 5/8"-11 doesn't work, since the thread is not cut properly.I am not even sure if it is possible to make an insert adapter for such a small difference in diameter sizes, meaning going from 5/8"-11 to 1/2"-13.I am rating it 4 stars, guessing that it will work for what it is intended for, and only because it wouldn't let me submit this review without selecting any stars.

The sidewall was a little thick. One hole was too close to the edge and had to use a keensert instead. I like the pin lock style better anyhow.

HAD TO DO MACHINE WORK ON THE EXTERIOR TO BE USABLE. INTERNAL THREADS WERE "RIGHT ON" BUT EXTERNAL THREADS NEEDED TO BE RECUT !!

I needed to repair a stripped out bolt hole to the original threading and these little guys did the job. I just drilled out slightly larger then ran a tap in it to the outside thread pitch and screwed it in, done.

Garbage! Would never by this product again. Even with special driver tool cannot get these to seat properly. Save your money!

I have 5/8 threaded rod. These say 5/8 but the internal thread is not 5/8†the external thread is 5/8
