need this to repair some striped out hold on my Harley. kit was great. price was very good. Did have to get some different helicoils. need some that were a little longer. that was not a problem. these kit are pricey at the auto store.

I had a string trimmer with stripped threads on the exhaust muffler. This tool allowed me to drill out, thread and insert Helical threads. I expect the string trimmer to last a long time after this repair.

Without a threaded insert tool, the insert itself doesn't want to align with the threads. I'll keep it around for emergencies, but I should have gone with HeliCoil.

Worked as intended but when I broke the tang off, it didn't completely sever so it just hung at the bottom of the insert and caused the screw to bind up. I had to use a pick to knock it free then it fell to the bottom of the hole like it should have initially.

Overpriced garbage. The tap shattered into THREE pieces the first time I used it and the drill bit couldn't bore through a piece of 14 gauge sheet metal.
