The kit comes with everything you need to install the thread insert, plus 10 inserts. The tools are made in Taiwan and China while the inserts come from the U.K. The instructions are clear and precise. I've installed many of these and never had a failure. The quality is very good. They work in steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel and just about any metal you can name. I've even installed them in acetel plastic. I highly recommend the E-Z Lok kits. I have 2 master kits, one in fractional and one in metric but they do not include the 3 and 4 mm sizes. If you intend to do many sizes the master kits are more cost effective.

Worked great! Repaired a Kawasaki motorcycle petcock that isn’t available to purchase anywhere. Make sure the tap is centered and aligned with the hole before you start tapping the hole. Turn the insert counter clockwise until it aligns with the threads before threading in the insert. If the insert gets messed up during installation, pry the first coil off the top and bend it in. Grab the top coil with a pair of pliers and pull the damaged insert out. Clean up the threads with the tap and try it again.

Works perfectly as you would want to, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I'm le wishing the thread-sert was longer as it only provides a few threads for purchase of the bolt but it works none-the-less for such a small size it's not of much importance anyhow.

This is a great kit for the DIYer like myself who doesn't have a shop full of drill bits or taps available to use.It came with everything needed to repair/replace my worn aluminum threads.I would buy this again.

This item was not useful as I NEEDED the bottom tap show. I returned the original order and the replacement because the BOTH had a regular tap rather than the bottom tap shown on line and on their packaging.

Used these to repair float bowl screws on a 1978 Honda. Worked great but don't forget a little oil to help prevent metal from sticking to the tap.
