We run our On Camera Monitor from a V Mount Battery with this Dummy Battery connected to both. Cuts down on the weight for the camera operator as there is only one battery powering everything on the rig. It sure works for us.

I use a variety of external monitors and LED lights in our traveling video rig, and many of those devices are powered with NP-F batteries. This dummy battery connected to a d-tap gives me the option of powering those monitors and lights with a much larger capacity v-mount battery. Easy to install. Quality construciton. Solid connections. Recommended.

I plug the adapter into the battery tray on the back of LED panel lights, and I get more than enough run-time for a couple of hours of shooting without having to plug into wall sockets. Doing so permits me to bring lights into parks, open areas, or really any place where power isn't available. I haven't had any problems with overheating, and I can recommend this to anyone who uses V mount batteries to power accessories. I haven't used this adapter in a camera, however.

I'm using this to power a camera monitor using a V-mount battery with a D-tap port. So far it's working great and the cable seems pretty beefy. Very handy thing to have and lots of use cases!

The second day it stopped working and the cable is very cheap. The application forces me to give a star but I won't give it even one

This D-tap to NP-F550 dummy battery cable is extremely handy for a camera rig that has a big V-mount battery and an available D-tap port. The coiled cable is pretty long when you pull it out so no issues there. Just make sure the camera, monitor, or other device you want to power runs on a compatible Sony NP-F type battery. Excellent solution for the right situation.

the d-tap portion fits snug into my batteries. However the overall construction feels incredibly cheap. The solid plastic bits feel super thin and fragile. The wire insulation does not feel high quality. I don't think i'd want to trust this as my cameras only power source for something like a wedding or other live, non-repeatable event. I don't see this lasting very long
