My work desk has 2 monitors because I need them to be efficient. Simply have to have various windows open at the same time. Old adapter gave out so I went and tried this one. Super easy to connect and worked immediately. Only negative is having to take up a USB slot for that extra wire, but it's not a big deal. Biggest upside is I'm back to having both my monitors, so I'm happy =]

This is a good option for a video splitter. After plugging it in, the color was much better than the previous splitter.

Maybe I had a faulty unit and everyone got one that functions. Mine didn’t work. When I hooked this up my system couldn’t detect any monitors. I tried restarting my system, unplugging/replugging the cable, made sure my display settings were ok… nothing worked to make this splitter function the way it was meant to

Probably a perfectly functional device, but will not reveal to Linux anything of it's actual guts. Probing it passes back the info for monitor one. It works perfectly fine to duplicate the display in high quality video.

Was using to split display port signal from native 7950x GPU, monitor is mini DisplayPort connecting to DisplayPort on motherboard, including splitter fried the mini DisplayPort cable, luckily my monitor also has display port connection as well, so used this port and a regular display port cable all came on but the system response was atrocious the mouse jumped from place to place. Short of it too many problems with this splitter returning it and trying another brand.

Got this to split a docking station (2 Display outs 1 HDMI out) to use 4 monitors with all separate windows (Extended display at least in windows). It works for the purpose.Only current negative is having to use an external power supply (usb) (although, it's probably required for any displayport splitter in extended display mode).
