It seems to work fine, but I struggle to see the value in it compared to other options, even in Fanttik's own lineup. It does what it says on the tin, but I think there are better choices for the dollar you spend here.It is meant to mount on a tripod, and if that was included, I'd like the price better.

I’ve been using commercially running ground works for plumbing. U can’t say how level it stays. But from about 50’ away the line is still usable. Last all day. Mostly using for wall and fixture marking. Worth $120

I love having this! I have been remodeling my bathroom putting in a new mirror cabinet and towel handles as well as hanging a bunch of pictures because I am learning the art of seasonal collages. I am pretty good and eye bawling how level something is generally but having a device that will do it for you without any mistakes is pretty cool. I am still learning of all the projects I can do with it but so far I used it to level that cabinet and pictures and it did a great job. It comes with a clamp with a magnet on it that it sticks to, so you don't have to hold it while leveling of course. This is cool. I did find some areas or spots where I could not use the clamp and having something like a camera stand would have come in handy. I would say that is probably something most people would want to get in addition to this. Most people already have something like this to put it on. I don't. I have to get one, but the prices aren't too bad online. I don't need anything fancy. It came with its own case that is pretty nice. It is very professional looking. Very nice quality. It levels with LED lights that are really bright. It is pretty easy to figure out the buttons and what does what. It comes with a pretty good manual as well that tells you all you need to know. There are so many projects you can do that it can help with such as putting new tiles in your kitchen. Oh, and it comes with a usb cable so you can easily charge it when the time comes.

This laser level is SO cool. It makes me fell all Mission Impossible-y when I go to do simple things like hang pictures or the occasional bookshelf in my daughter's room. It is 1000% cooler than it really needs to be for my simple uses. I'm pretty sure you could use this to build like a whole house or at least a barn or shed. I lack all other skills necessary to do those things though so I will just keep letting this thing make me feel cool completing the most mundane tasks I'm capable of.

This laser level has been a lifesaver for me, hanging pictures and working on DIY projects! Getting multiple photos all exactly symmetrical is a breeze now - I had already tried unsuccessfully (twice!) with traditional levels and a ruler to get everything straight, and was about to give up, but this saved the day! It has multiple brightness levels, which I appreciate, and it’s super easy and straightforward (though I have had a little difficulty getting it to the “free form/any angle setting, but I’m sure that’s user error and not the fault of the product. It’s super heavy duty and seems like it’s great quality, so I expect it to last for quite some time. The biggest issue for me is the lack of stand/tripod - for a few dollars out of their profit, they could have included even just a super basic “starter†tripod, which would make the user experience way better - having to stack boxes on top of dressers to get the device high enough to hang pictures was a pain, and there’s no way to adjust the settings so that you can show a level line at, say 6 feet, if the device is on a 4 foot high table. Now *that* would be ideal, but at the very least throwing in a tripod would really be helpful for the end user. So make sure you have/purchase a tripod when you buy this! Even with the need to purchase additional accessories, I’m very happy with the performance of this level and would still recommend it.

Man, I wish I had this thing years ago.Looking around my home, I’ve been double checking how true my manually leveled projects are and, in several cases (see pic of sound bar), I was pretty off. Also confirms my suspicions that many / most of my walls and windows are not exactly true either! Good times. The Fanttik D2 comes in a nice sturdy carry case, similar color and feel to the case used for their mini driver. Laser level unit sits in there very snuggly. Also holds the charging cable and a magnetic pivot mount. The 2 main modes (auto level and manual) are easy to access, and the buttons let you tweak whether you have both axis, brightness etc. it’s very easy and intuitive to use.I do like that you have the option to set manually, since that allows for weird non-level angles when needed. The D2 has a camera mount thread built in which worked great with my Amazon Basics tripod! The Fanttik magnetic mount is cool and should work great when attached to the wall, also has cutouts for using screws for hanging etc. The magnets are pretty strong and there are rubber feet to help prevent sliding.Auto mode is both easy and occasionally frustrating, depending on where you’re using the device. For me, the bedroom floor (hardwood, no carpet) flexes slightly as you walk around and that caused the tripod to move slightly (doesn’t look like it but the level senses it), causing the level to flash (means it’s not on a secure enough surface). On harder surfaces / better floors I’m sure it’s more reliable but, in my room at least, it was a little finicky at times. However, overall this thing is great and will save me time and having to put marks on the wall using my pencil! Professional package and worth 5 stars!
