Once these were glued into the cap on my jugs they performed admirably. When the mixture started to ferment it was sort of fun watching the bubbles popping up through the airlocks. Yes, I know I lead an exciting life!

No defects on product. It’s made of hard plastic. It’s inexpensive and allows for gases to escape without external agents (fruit flies/gnats) to reach the must. I use mine for home brewing mead. I will say, it’s hard to clean out, but that’s just the type of design for this airlock. This is true with this type of airlock from other vendors too. It has nothing to do with manufacturer or this specific airlock. Overall, I will purchase again because it’s an inexpensive and a quality product.
