I looked all over the internet for these latches, and they work great on oversized country metal mailboxes with latches that wear out and need to be replaced. The mailbox latch on my metal over-size country mailbox has a 4" span to reach the mailbox door from the mailbox mounting, and it's all metal. All other latches on the internet are plastic and much shorter. This stuff fits great as a replacement, and I ordered several to cover any future issues for my old Metal Mailbox. Thank you so much. You can't buy this stuff in stores anymore, and we are grateful for the product. The shipping takes a little longer, but it's well worth the wait. If your Mailbox is metal and the latch on top of the mailbox spans 4" before the door will latch, this product works.
