Very minimal sanding, and it works great on any squier or fender bass. After a couple rounds of sanding it fits straight on.

Came in a bag that said "Fender Genuine Parts", I googled the P/N 0994921000 it comes up as the right P/NI know it could be fake, but who the heck is going to fake an $11 part?)Some websites show it cheaper, some show it more expensive.Seems to look like it will only take minimal sanding to fitI will edit this review if it goes south on me somehow

Replaced broken nut on 1993 MIM P Bass. Fit in slot nice and tight. Did need to sand some off the bottom and the groove on the G string to match the previous set action. Total of about 15-20 minutes but nice fit and has a nice full sound.

This is a good quality replacement but for a four string P bass. You might have to size it to fit, but it's pretty accurately sized (and nuts fit pretty tight anyways). I'd recommend it if you need to replace the nut in your P bass.

OEM Fender nut for P-bass. Of course had to trim, slot for the instrument and sand a bit but that's true with all new guitar/bass nuts.

Used this to replace a broken nut on a fender P-Squire. fit perfectly and the action on the guitar is the same as before.
