It was maybe a hair too wide but works very well as replacement nut for a Monoprice Indio Jazz Bass. It slid in nicely, not too tight or loose. And the string heights were almost perfect. They provide the dimensions so ignore the reviews who buy a p-bass nut and complain it doesn't fit their jazz bass. Also nice it comes in two in case you mess up filing.

The nuts seem to be well made although, I do not have the bass that fits these. It's my bad. Luckily I rebuild basses and guitars so eventually they will be put to good use. By measurement it seemed to be the right length but, after removing my original nut I found mine to be a flat bottom. Oh well they will be put to good use when a J bass comes into get repaired.

My new bass has a nut which was cut too low from the factory. These new nuts provided are wider and not aligning with proper JB string spacing. I wanted this to work as a drop-in nut replacement. Ended up shimming the existing nut with a paper business card and wood glue. I will keep these for possible use on a P or other in the future.

Seems like a nicely made nut but the slots are too wide for my squier 70’s classic vibe jazz bass. Thought I measured correctly..but live and learn!

Fit my '76 Fender Musicmaster bass very well. Filed off a bit on each end to match the neck width & deepen the string slots to match the original. Its a perfect fit in the neck slot so no altererations were needed there.

The slots are too spaced compared to the original nut on my MIM Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe Series.Also, i compared the original nut to these and they feel the same and I honestly think the original one is plastic.You could normally feel the difference between bone and plastic and these "bone" nuts felt like plastic, unless it's due to the fact that the originals are already made of bone.

Seems like an okay nut, but it was a little bit too wide for my Fender MIJ 60s reissue jazz bass.

Ajusta de forma para el Fender Jazz Bass americano pero queda un poco más largo al tener 39,5 mm al cambio del original 38 mm. Se puede lijar fácil a la medida. Cumple con su función y se entregó muy rápido. Lo recomiendo.

A previous owner totally messed up the nut on a 50 year old bass, so I had to make a new one.Usually I take a blank block of Tusq, but this time I didn't feel like filling my nostrils with dust, as I usually do 😅I ordered this nut and yes, it's real bone. I prefer Tusq, which is a synthetic material and more even, so more stable, but bone works for decades, so I won't complain!Pro tip: always sand the nut after clearing the nut slot. Never modify the slot! And sand the top of the nut with 400-800-1200 grit sandpaper and finish with some polish. It will shine beautifully!

Got this as a replacement for the plastic nut on a Squier Sonic Precision bass which has Jazz spec. Some sanding needed to the back but minimal and it dropped in nicely. Sits slightly lower but no other adjustments or setup required. Great item ðŸ‘
