This pickguard fits American Vintage ’62 Jazz Bass models (does not fit five-string models). Note that this pickguard is identical in size to a modern Jazz Bass pickguard, with the addition of a mounting-screw hole located directly above the neck pickup; body drilling is hence required for proper installation.

Real fender pickgaurd they use on mim and usa 60s jazz basses from factory. Made by or for fender so it is good and doesn't need cutting to fit. I put it on my squier 60s jazz bass. Pre drilled for covers and rest.

Four stars only because by ordering from Amazon, it came slightly bowed, or upraised in the center. I sent the first back but the replacement was just like it. Since the reissue guards have an extra pickguard screw right in the middle, its no biggie and its lying flat on my project bass just fine. Fit around the neck and against control plate was good. Don't take a chance on an off brand, buy this for a guaranteed fit.

The pick guard looks nice, but I can't get the screw holes to line up right. I already filed a bunch of, so I can't return it. I can get nine of eleven holes to match, no matter how much turning or filing, the just don't line up. This is disappointing. The cheap one I bought for $12. fit perfectly, but the"Fender" product doesn't work.

It's mostly perfect, though the beveled edge that meets the control plate should be a straight cut with no bevel. 5 minutes of careful filing and you're good to go!
