Festool routinely comes out with new versions of tools - typically drivers and lately drywall sanders. They need to make a version 2 of the CTC-SYS their highest priority for 2025. At the minimum they need it to accept the larger dual 8.0 Ah batteries by widening the battery slot. The buttons can be pushed towards the front and made a bit smaller so the batteries can go right to the edge. Second, they need to allow it to plug to mains power so you don’t have to use batteries if near power. Third, it would be nice if while connected to mains it would charge the batteries. That’s more of a nice to have, but it would be very nice when mobile to not have to carry around battery chargers.I have purchased about half the Festool lineup and love nearly everything, but I refuse to purchase the CTC-SYS until a version 2 with at least the first and second upgrade is included. To whatever Festool manager is hemming and hawing about asking your engineers to make it happen… do it today. Sticking with this weak tool for years is going to hurt the brand with zero upside.

I purchased this over a month ago, all the reviews are horrible due to its runtime. I’ve been upgrading all my battery tools from Makita to Festool, so I’ve got more batteries to use on this little guy if it runs out (7minutes about, full power. Suction is fantastic btw). I have a few systainer combi drawers, which this is now part of on my festool roll board on casters. So I’m able to wheel this thing around with all my installer hand tools. It’s perfect for doing quick little clean ups without having to plug in to an outlet so I’m hyped on it. I start feeling a little claustrophobic when I’m surrounded by the chaos of cabinet deliveries, so this thing is amazing for when I need to keep my tools tight and organized. Great addition to my install kit. This was also cheaper than the Makita 18v vacuum on wheels so the value is pretty good.

*****TL-DR: STEER CLEAR OF ANY FESTOOL CORDLESS PRODUCTS!!!!!*****Let me start by saying, i LOVE Festool and all of their offerings. From my CT Midis to my rotexes, 3 track saws and countless drills/accessories, original sys vacs, etc. all amazing and 5-star products.HOWEVER, the cordless offerings from Festool so far fall WAY short in my opinion. After using this particular vacuum for over 3 months, and as well as their HKC track saw, its safe to say Festool has not yet mastered battery technology, and are only pushing it into the market to "compete" with the other big cordless brands. Festool didn't make their name by following others, they made their name by innovating and perfecting new and existing tools to their highest potentials. This vacuum and their other cordless models of tools have absolutely missed the mark. What's even more RIDICULOUS is that any other midi or CT Vac they offer in cordless they ALSO offer in CORDED AS WELL.For some IDIOTIC reason, the previous CT SYS CORDED MODEL is completely DISCONTINUED!?!?!Huge huge MASSIVE L for Cespool... I mean Festool.. on this one. Was planning on setting up all of my employees' main loadouts based on a CT sys vac and sys carts since thats what weve been doing for almost the past 10 years, but unfortunately for Craptool we will be exploring different offerings from MIRKA, 3M, and SURFPREP.SUMMARY: STEER CLEAR OF ANY FESTOOL CORDLESS PRODUCTS!!!

I purchased the cordless sys vac thinking how handy it would be to not have to drag cords around cleaning up a job site or even allowing it to hook up to a saw for smaller jobs. With the double 4amp batteries which you can only use (5amp won’t fit) I get maybe 15 min of run time on a job site. That’s not enough time and then I have to get out another vac with a cord. So I tried it again the other day just to clean my truck. It was beeping at me saying batteries were low just as I finished up. So it’s quick convenience isn’t worth the price tag in my opinion. I bought a Milwaukee cordless vac and that little vac works way better for what I was hoping the sys vac would do, and for multiple jobs.

Bought this Festool battery powered vac locally, not here on Amazon, but wanted to get the word out; it sucks - just not in a good way. Suction IS adequate, but the runtime is what REALLY blows. It's totally inadequate. I own a LOT of Festool products, including several vacuums, and this is the first one that's been a complete and total disappointment. With two fully charged batteries, it lasts barely more than 10 minutes. And for some unfathomable reason, Festool designed this to ONLY be compatible with their (smaller) 4ah batteries. Save yourself the heartache, move along, and buy something else. Trust me - you'll be glad you did...

Love my Festool gear, but this tool was a major letdown. Bought this to upgrade my ct sys to Bluetooth, but it has less power than th CT SYS and a very short run time. Hardly useable and eats up two batteries. Also, it takes an annoyingly long time to kick on. So it’s not collecting dust at the begging if of your cut. They need to add an option to run on AC so it’s just like the CT SYS, but with an option to run on batteries when that’s needed (rarely NEEDED). Would consider purchasing again if they added an AC option.

I bought it and regret and I missed the return window so I sold it in the Facebook by losing $150 .Run time is much less than acceptable.
