Turtle Floating Platform
Basking platform is made of high quality PVC material, not easy to deform, can be used for a long time. It can be used in both fresh and salt water.
Both the basking platform and the climbing ramp are hollow, making it easy for turtles to climb with their sharp claws, ventilated and non-slip, as well as reducing water accumulation.
The bottom of the turtle basking area can be used as a hideout to shade the lizards and fulfill their needs to hide, climb, play and rest.
Our turtle docks for basking combine resting, climbing and hiding for most water turtles, tortoises, lizards, frogs, geckos or other amphibians.

Why do turtles need sunbathing platforms?
Tortoises live in water for a long time, their shells are easy to soften and lack of oxygen, basking platform can provide a platform for tortoises to bask their backs and breathe fresh air.
Turtle basking helps to replenish calcium, promote metabolism and make the shell stronger and harder.

Speedy took right to it! It's much better than the plastic suction cup ones with the fake plastic grass. It's easy to put together and adjusts easily. It looks cheap (and is) but it works well. It's sturdy and spacious compared to most other ones I've tried. Speedy is about 5" wide and she sits comfortably.

I spoil my turtles and fuss over them often. They are outdoor in a galvanized tank. I used to have stacks of stone placed in tank as basking area; however, it takes up space for them to get more swimming area so I thought I would try this product. The product does hang very nicely on the galvanized tank and can be adjusted for height of water. Since the weather here in Vegas fluctuates in the winter, they are not currently using every day. However, my blind turtle loves to be out of the water more often in winter and seems to be using it. I added fake artificial grass to the ramp and basking area to make it look real and give more comfort. I bought artificial grass squares then cut hole in them and then zipped tied to product.
