EASY INSTALLATION
It takes about 5 minutes to install. MOUNTS TO THE 1/2" FRAME AROUND YOUR METAL FILE CABINET. Reversible for left or right side mounting (screws included).
COBALT DRILL BIT INCLUDED
No need to hunt for the right size drill bit to use, we supply it! This is the best type of bit for drilling through hard metals.
SIMPLE TO USE
When unlocked, the bar is held in the open position by a spring-loaded hinge so it won't interfere with opening or closing your file drawers. At the end of the day simply close the bar, lower the handle, and insert the padlock to lock (padlock not included).

This locking bar is an excellent way to secure your files in accordance with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCI. It doesn't matter if you are a big company, a small company, or just need to secure your files at home from prying eyes, this bar will do the job.
The Guardianite 4 Drawer Locking Bar is 46" long. Measure the height of your filing cabinet to confirm the size you need. The bar needs to be slightly shorter than your filing cabinet and as long as it covers a portion of the top and bottom drawer, it will work.
This item requires the use of a padlock. A padlock is not included, but we recommend the use of any padlock that has a shackle diameter of 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch.
Kit includes: One (1) Guardianite 46 inch File Locking Bar (Gray or Beige color) and One (1) Cobalt Drill Bit.

I couldn't get the key lock on my lateral file cabinet, so I bought this. It's fantastic and was easy to install. You'll need to buy a lock for it though.

I am very impressed with this locking bar. Great installation video on their website, very well designed, 10 minutes to screw it on and that’s it!!! Very secure but stays out of the way when you don’t need it.

The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is for the fact the drill bit could be a little larger. As a small woman it was hard at first to fasten the screws, but after I used a larger bit it worked like a Champ. Everyone thinks the bar was a great solution to keep the cabinet locked.

If measuring is done accurately, product fits and works very well, you will need to keep a minimum of half an inch to allow bar to “swing†free of door to allow it to open if butted up with other furniture or deeper cabinet.
