The runout on the few collet sizes that I use is within tolerances, though just barely. The metal appears to be softer than I'd expect, but I don't have the means of testing hardness, so that's just a seat-of-the-pants observation. The set meets expectations, and probably expects them for the price.

Bought these two go along with my unimat lathe I was expecting lesser quality, but boy was I surprised when they showed up each individually packaged and very high quality and they work better that anyone could ever imagine I would definitely recommend this to anyone

TIR went down to 3.5mil when measured right near the collet vs 1" away. Still, awful quality. You can see some of the jaws are different shape than others.

To be honest here, I've only used one of the collets in the set, but it did exactly what I needed. In combination with an M1 collet chuck holder I was able to spin small wooden dowels on my lathe to polish the sides so they could be used as axles in a wooden clock I am building. It worked exactly as I had hoped. I'm glad I purchased this set.

The smallest collets have visible issues. The part that wold grip the workpiece is very thin and is bent to one side. There is no chance of these being accurate for the 1/32 and 1/16 sizes. I have not used or run an indicator on the bigger sizes yet. The exterior finish is not precise on the face but the angled surfaces held in the chuck look reasonable. I didn’t expect much at this price and was not surprised.
