This thing is great for fishing. I must bring it every time I go spearfishing. It is easy to use: just string your fish on it. We keep it attached to the kayak so having the clip to attach to the kayak AND another clip to stretch it out so we can easily grab it and attach the fish is very convenient. We do maintain our equipment very well, rinsing everything right after using it so it hasn't started to rust on us, and it seems to be withstanding the repeated use.

In the past I have had one of those cheap fish stringers on my fishing boat, which has been fine I guess, but they rust quickly and are just not great quality. This stringer is very nice. The large clip is very sturdy and will hold many larger fish and is made of stainless steel and should hold up very well, but what I really like is the quick release clip and spring so you can keep it secure but when you need to get fish on you can quickly unclip and have plenty of room to work but the spring is there to make sure you don't loose it. It is very well made and a nice upgrade. Would also be nice for spear fishing and I hope to try it for that at some point.
