one side cutter is dull already but i was cutting 1/8 SS cable with it

These are so easy to use and make great crimps. If you are still tying knots in your heavier fishing lines, stop, this is so much better. With the cutters built in I can crank out leaders and rigs faster than ever.

It works as advertised. So far I have repaired a downrigger release and constructed two more. I will be making some safety clips for my downrigger stacker clips soon.

This product appears to be well made and easy to use (it’s not rocket science), however, the listing stated that the item was made out of stainless steel, it is not. The packaging states in several locations that it is in fact made from chrome plated and hardened steel. Since this product was purchased to keep on a boat in Sitka, Alaska, where moisture is abundant, I am disappointed. The supplied aluminum crimps are in five sizes, but the smaller crimps are so small the appear to only be adequate for sewing thread. Not really sure if I would purchase this item again, I would rather forego the included crimps and get the stainless steel pliers as advertised.

This works well. I wasnt able to fit my 150-pound test mono into the new crimps though but most people will find these more than adaquete. The crimpers look like the same high-quality ones you pay a lot more for and the kit made it worth it.

Nice crimp set with a good set of pliers which is key to getting a nice crimped cable. Used to repair my fishing downrigger cables turned out nice. Comes with plenty of different sized fittings should last a long time for various uses.
