This very good Kill switch operates in two modes, depending how you wire the switch. Perfect for Mastercraft replacement installation. The $12 competitor does not work as it works in only one mode and is the reverse with a live closed circuit when the Y clip is pulled from the switch .

My husband needed to replace the kill switch in our boat and, fortunately, it was exactly like the broken one. I’m sorry to say he has yet to install it, therefore, I can not rate it beyond appearance. We did receive in great time and when it’s installed (if I can) I will come back and add to my review.

With the new laws this year regarding using a kill switch while underway, I took a look at my kill switches and realized they needed to be updated. I replaced the old ones with two of these. Took me 15 minutes to install the new ones. The new ones work great.
