I buy a lot of digital thermometers for A/C and this is the best so far. It has auto shut-off so you don't kill the battery by leaving it on. It also seems to be quite accurate. Easy to turn on, too.

Seems accurate compared to my failed old one that's over 15 years old. Good price too.

This device works great. I was concerned that my GM car AC wasn’t functioning properly. Inserted in the center air vent and determined it was getting down to 40 degrees on lowest temp setting at max air flow. No more trips to the dealership. 😄

The Item does not work because the battery is missing, I bought one but did not fit, Can you check what is the correct number to avoid the return ?

If you're buying this to be used in a competitive branding/color sensitive environment (crips? bloods? political ad campaign?), the entire face and stem sleeve are both essentially royal blue/blue and NOT the Red/Grey color scheme as advertised in the display photo. I wouldn't put my neck on a block for its accuracy really but I think it does a decent job of taking temperature measurements that do not require Scientific Laboratory levels of accuracy. It also certainly takes its sweet time getting to the final temperature of whatever is being measured so you will have to be patient with it. This is not a very fast reading thermometer. That said, I like the digital functionality and the fact that you can easily toggle between °C and °F. As far as I can see there is no way to calibrate it; (If anyone has information to the contrary please let me know so I can update the review).For this review I placed this FJC digital and an analog alcohol based thermometer on my laptop keyboard which gets fairly warm and allowed their temps to raise until there was no further temp increase. I then removed both thermometers and let them sit side by side on a wooden work bench at ambient room temp until both thermometers showed no further decrease in temp. With the temperatures stabilized I then used a separate infrared thermometer to test the surface temp of the FJC digital thermometer at as many points on it as possible then I did the same with the alcohol thermometer.The alcohol thermometer stabilized at a room temp reading of 80°F while the FJC digital display fluctuated slightly between 82.5°F and 82.6°F throughout the test. The infrared thermometer readings on both the FJC and Alcohol thermometers ranged from 77.2°F lowest reading to 78.7°F highest reading. Also In the time it took me to type up this review The FJC dropped to 82.1°F and the alcohol thermometer dropped to 79°F.Conclusion? Well first of all I can't vouch for the strict accuracy of any of the reference devices used in my experiment.Secondly, The Alcohol thermometer is at least 20 years old while the infrared thermometer was purchased a couple months ago and was literally unboxed during this experiment. Therefore I can't reach any hard/fast conclusion but hopefully someone still finds the experiment somewhat useful to their decision making process to purchase one even though there's no fixed conclusion. Also worth mentioning is the fact that even though the Digital FJC thermometer does power off on its own if you don't switch it off manually, At no point during the experiment or typing up this review did it power off before I was finished taking measurements which can be very annoying. I can verify that it does power off eventually on its own to save the battery but it does give you quite an extended period of usage before doing so (which I like very much).
